Oil filters can clean the dirty oil in engine and make engine maintain
high performance. |

Oil Filters For Domestic Vehicles |
Oil filters are designed to remove contaminants (sludge of metal powder
and carbon powder etc) caused by engine rotational movement, and to prevent
engine abrasion by making clean oil pass. |
If oil filters have not been exchanged for a long time, loading of filters will occur.
Then, as oil flow turns to clog, relief valve will be forced to open to
maintain the normal oil flow after exceeding resistance. Eventually, engine
abrasion will be accelerated.
Therefore, a regular exchange is needed.

By adopting the new development method of MW style, NITTO has succeeded
in miniaturization and tends to increase. Comparing with former products,
filtration area of MW style is increased more than 10%, and longer life
of filters is realized for smooth oil flow. |

It is generally accepted that 100-500ml(a canister of juice) of old oil
remains in the old oil filters. When only new oil is exchanged, oil life
will be shortened as an oil filter is not exchanged simultaneously.
Therefore, please exchange oil filter at the time of exchanging oil. |

How often do we need to exchange oil filters? |
Exchanging oil filters at the time of exchanging oil is the best.
Exchange in interval under normal driving about 5000km is recommended.
Exchange about 3000km in the case of new cars is recommended generally. |
How is the internal structure of oil filters? |
Dirty oil flows into an inlet of oil filters and then through the filtering
element.
After flowing through element the filtered or 'clean' oil flows into engine
from outlet.
If oil filters have not been exchanged for a long time, the element shall
be loaded. If oil filters turn to clog, relief valve will be forced to
open to maintain the normal oil flow. Then, engine abrasion will be accelerated.
But this situation is unable to be seen from outside of oil filters. Therefore,
a regular exchange is needed. |
